Well we have had an interesting month! While Ryan was away with the youth at church, Makayla's appendix decided it would rather not attend Makayla's body anymore. Luckily surgery was held off long enough that Dad made it back :) Makayla was a trooper! Dr's commended her on her pain tolerance. She was a great patient. Surgery went well, and she is back to normal by Thanksgiving.

Veterans Day Program

Makayla's school recently had a Veterans Day Program. She is in the choir at school and got to preform in front of the whole school. I got to say, I was impressed with how well they did. I didn't take the best pictures, but here's a glimpse of what it was like. It was a great way to honor those who serve in the military. Being in a military town, it was just a little more special than it would be somewhere else. Children got to honor their parents who serve.

We recently went to the pumpkin patch. One of my favorite things to do every year. It was a bit hot this year. Kind of put a damper on wearing the pretty fall sweaters and enjoying the hay ride. But it was still a great time with family and friends.

A few behind here...Not my fault! Blogspot was going nutty on me. But here are a few highlights. The girls are well into school. Makayla made choir and art clubs! She is such a go-getter.She also recently enjoyed her first concert-Taylor Swift. Marissa is making 100% on her spelling test! Which if you've seen some of the battles we've faced with Marissa is a huge deal! God is good. Mason is becoming quite the little Ryan. Very funny, mischievous, smart, and loving. Mercy is crawling! Well army crawling.. She is saying "Da-da", "Ma-ma", "Bu-bu", and "a-a" which we believe to be the beginning of "Kayla". Marissa is pretty pissy that she won't say her name but the "S" sound is pretty difficult for a 6 month old :0) Hope to add more updates soon!

Last Friday was the first day of school. The girls had to switch this year bc of our recent move. They both were so brave and excited going into their school. Makayla is in 4th Grade now, and Marissa in 1st. Time is flying!!

Well today was a fun day in the pool for 2 girls who have had it rough this summer! Makayla broke her arm the first weekend of summer and Marissa just had her tonsils and adenoids removed Thursday. Today Makayla got her cast off and the dr said if Marissa felt up to swimming she could so they did!!! May summer begin!!!

Each year we visit my Grandmothers Family in Coffee Co. Tennessee. The home there is the home she was born and raised in. It's absolutely beautiful! Makayla and Marissa just completed 3rd and Kindergarten! Can you believe it!? Makayla got awarded for her straight A's this year and Marissa got "Good Citizen" Award! We are so proud of our girls!

Makayla celebrated her birthday 2 Saturdays ago. She had a skating party! Take note parents, Skating parties when your child can't skate will end in epic failure! She ended up breaking her wrist :( She still had a great time with friends and family!

Our baby girl is here! She arrived 1:30pm on 3/3/2011. She weighed 7lbs 8 oz, and was 19 3/4 inches. Our 2nd largest baby, and longest girl. Her spirit is so sweet. She is pretty amazing. We keep knocking on wood! It's mom's first time to nurse, and she has taken well to it and success thus far! Brother and Sisters are adjusting well. Mason says "She my baby". Makayla loves snuggling with her and Marissa would prefer she never make noise again. Here are some sneak peeks into her first few days of life!

Can you believe how fast life goes by with children your head over heels in love with are in your life? I love my children equally. They all have amazing qualities that bring me such joy! Makayla is incredibly compassionate, funny, and very smart! Marissa has more joy than any child I've ever seen, she's feisty, and who can resist her big brown eyes? However, I am beyond grateful that God blessed our family with a baby boy, Feb 29th 2008. I love how much he loves his mama :) At such a young age he began to want to protect and love me. His "male" instincts are the same with his sisters. He can't stand for any of us women to cry. I also love Mason's personality. He's full of life, and very entertaining! I know another man in our home that tends to be that way. He recently has school pictures done at his preschool. Usually I loath school pictures but they did a great job, so much so I'm not going to harass him and do his 3 yr old pics myself! Here they are below followed by some pictures showing off his new hobby-being a rock star w/ his "rock it tar".

It's tradition...Dad gives us a flower for every age we are this year. Marissa got 5! Makayla got 8! Mason got some chocolate chip cookies haha! Then Mom and Dad went to have some special V-day time at Swirz where they painted a picture together! Dad was such a good sport! Mom was super excited!

February Snow!! Oh my!

So today was a bit nerve racking! Daddy was on his way to pick up Mason and Mommy and then grab the girls who had gotten dismissed early, then on to the baby dr! Well we got stuck, and couldn't get to Makayla and Marissa. Aunt Christy came to the rescue but it took Mom and Dad 2 hrs to get unstuck! Everyone is home safe and sound, and we'll see if we make it to the baby dr tomorrow to check on Mercy! Here are some sneak peeks of what Mom and Mason did while waiting for Daddy to come get them. This is was rednecks give their kids to play with in the snow lol!

Well Mom has been lazy and hasn't posted in several weeks, something about that bump under her shirt...Below are some pictures of our Snow Day today. But first some quick updates. Mom is heading fast toward 34 weeks. We're starting to prepare, well as much as possible in our tiny house :o) Everytime Mercy moves and Mommy comments about it, Mason asks "Baby bite you?"
Makayla got straight A's on her report card! Marissa doesn't get letter grades but she is really doing well in Kindergarten this year! She's reading, and can count to 100!! And Mason is in big boy underwear! Now to get rid of Pappy (Paci)..There's still always Binkie (Blanket).

We're working hard in the Millard home anywhere from chores to our time w/ God. We're helping mom by folding towels, clearing the table, and cleaning up A LOT better after ourselves.Thanks to Mom's Iphone we have a new star system (irewardchart app), so we get rewarded! Dad and Mom are making a better effort at reading us Bible Stories, and doing our church homework (God Time Cards-Devotional like activites that go along w/ what their learning at church. We'll see how all this goes after #4 arrives :)

Vocabulary Parade!

Marissa and Makayla had a Vocabulary Parade at school today. They got to dress in a way to describe the vocabulary word they chose. Marissa was a "Graceful" Ballerina. Makayla decided to be the word "Vocabulary" and wore lots of words on her body and head. Her and her teacher made this at school so mommy didn't get pictures of her.

Well Thursday night Mason got to see the "real" Buzz Lightyear! The girls were completely thrilled to see Jessie, Slink, and Ham as well!! We went to see Toy Story 3 on Ice. We had a great night on the town!

We met Mercy Carolyn today! Mommy's dreams were predicting the future! And the indigestion...all the estrogen. The lady doing the ultrasound had a little trouble determining the sex but was 90% sure it's a girl. We go back in a month for another one so we will confirm then! We picked the girls up and showed them a little pink outfit with "Little sister" on it and asked them if they thought it would look good on their new baby sister!! They were super excited. Even Makayla who wanted a boy! We're super glad God is blessing us with the big family we have wished for!!

Mommy is going to work again on Tuesday's and Thursday's at a preschool. I get to go to school with her, in a different class. I am very proud of my big boy lunch box! I refuse to hang it up with my backpack at school. I feel better knowing it's safe with me. Marissa took being a big sister very seriously when mommy took the pictures. I don't know if I could of held the lunch box by myself.

Makayla started 3rd grade!! Can you believe it? She got the teacher she wanted. She wanted her because she was pretty. Marissa met her Kindergarten teacher and is testing off and on until her first full day, the 23rd!! Our baby girls are growing to fast!

Marissa recently had her recital. I'm a little behind on posting pictures. The theme was Circus! She was one of the lions! She did a ballet dance to "Can you feel the love tonight?" and a tumbling dance to "The Lion sleeps tonight". She did a really great job! We were very proud!! Mimi, Nana, Kevin, Christy, and Brooke were there to watch w/ Dad, Mom, and Kayla!!

Makayla had an amazing day! She woke up to balloons tied to her bed and presents from mom and dad in bed. Dad took her to breakfast and challenged her to mario cart most the afternoon. Then she had her big birthday party at the jumpzone!! Lots of friends came to celebrate her. Then she went to the movies to see Shrek with Grandmommy, Aunt Bridget, Dad, Mom, Sister, Brother, and Josh and Sam!! Not to mention the day before mom brought cupcakes to her class and that night she got to eat out and celebrate with Nana, Mimi, and Kurtis. Must be hard when no one loves you....

Today was Makayla's last Award Ceremony at school. Words can't really express how proud we are of her! She received the Good Citizen Award/Metal! She also got her 2nd All A's ribbon! So far she has maintained all A's and B's in her first 3 years of school! Below is a picture of her with them and a picture of her teacher loving on Marissa reminding her that she will be her teacher one day. So grateful God has blessed my babies with such good teachers!

Strawberry time!! Makayla and Marissa always go picking w/ Grandmommy. Mommy's never been, so she decided for her and Mason's last date day (til next fall) they would go picking! Mason was such a big boy, and picked lots of strawberries!! He thought the squishy one's felt gross! He had a "few" to make sure they were good and fresh! They even gave him a sticker for doing a good job!! It was a great day!

Then mom made strawberry pie!! She worked REALLY hard on it, her first recipe didn't go as planned...
